The main character in Dragonball Z. He is a kind dedicated person. He is a full-blooded saiyan sent to earth as a baby to destroy it, but when he falls into a riveen and gets a head injury he forgets his mission. He is adopted by an old man named Gohan who teaches him martial arts. In Z he is oftenly the most powerful fighter. He is commonly the most popular character because of his strength and determination. His personality is really cliche' and to some is really of no intrest.

Gohan's main power lies in his anger. Throughout most of the series he is amongst one of the weakest characters, but when he is enraged through the death or injury of one of his friends he instatly goes wild as his power multiplies. He pummels the enemy but after he calms down he becomes weak again. This power is not fully realized untill towards the end of the Cell Saga where he is the first to reach the second level of super saiyan.
In the start of the series he is 5 years old and by the end of Dbz he has his own daughter. Unlike his father he doesn't enjoy fighting so he never kept training. Between the end of the Cell Saga and the start of the Buu Saga he actually got weaker.
